We can summon a car with our phones, get dinner or groceries delivered within the hour, control our homes through an iPad… So why is buying a sofa still so hard?

We created Rise Studios to answer this very question. To make buying a sofa more affordable, easier to take home, and more enjoyable to use!

In cities like Sydney and Melbourne, deliveries to apartments without lifts or homes with stairs were a constant issue. And the heavier and bulkier the item, the more likely it was to be damaged by couriers in transit… There’s nothing that breaks our hearts more than wasted furniture.

We wanted to design a sofa that made life easier: for our customers and for the planet. A sofa that arrived in compact boxes you could carry yourself (or with a friend!) One that could be picked up locally or shipped across the country without the cost and stress of oversized freight. No tools. No confusing instructions. Just comfort, convenience, and good design, packed neatly into a box and ready to enjoy.

But we didn’t stop there.

We also wanted something that could grow and change with you. Life isn’t fixed, and we don’t believe your furniture should be either. That’s why most of our collection is modular: so you can reconfigure, rearrange, and create new shapes and spaces whenever you like.
